Sandilands to miss four

Sandilands suffered tendon damage in his big toe in an innocuous incident against Port Adelaide on Saturday afternoon. The Dockers giant slammed his left foot into the ground in the final quarter and was benched for the rest of the game.
The 28 year old has been arguably the best Dreamteam ruckman over the past few years and has continued with his great form this season averaging 103 points per round.
Most coaches may choose to cover Sandilands with young Gold Coast star Zach Smith, who is averaging very respectful 76 points in his first year.
Others may have gone dual position options such as North Melbourne's Drew Petrie who is averaging a handy 87 points.
What are you going to do?

I'm backing Smith (ave 76) for the four weeks!
Is anyone downgrading Sandi (ave 103) to Goldstein (ave 100)? You would gain about 96 points for the four weeks Sandi is out (compared to Smith), but then lose about 30 over the rest of the season. It would be an epic waste of a trade, but I guess for those who don't have Smith it wouldn't be.

btw some people are suggesting he could miss 6 which leads into a freo bye making 7 consective rounds missed. Chances of this?

For me the decision comes down to what are your extra 4 trades to be used for? I've got plans for mine that don't include trying anything tricky on the sandilands situation. But the event does prevent us coaches with an opportunity to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the competition. Dont see any wrong decision out of this one.

In four weeks time there will be a wrong decision
Smith onto the field and Sandi on the bench.

Since everyone else is down a ruckman and smithing it up, I might downgrade ryder for some mega-bucks. Smith is as good as him anyway. Then Petries dpp can cover cox's bye and its happy rainbows! If smith loses form, in comes petrie from the forwards, as I'd rather use an upgrade trade in the forwards then the mids.
This is actually really good for my DT, as the ryder vs sandi duel has cost me a couple of league games already. Now its Smith vs Smith. Thanks Sandi! Hope you get better soon! (but return through the VFL and share ruck duties with bradley for several weeks following)
This will probably be good for freo long term. Get games into bradley (good call whoever said he'll average high), and cause the mids to rethink their skill-sets a bit. I won't be trading in Mundy anymore...
