It has been on the cards for a few weeks now but Collingwood star and arguably the best Dreamteam player Dane Swan ($397,700) will miss the Queen's Birthday clash against Melbourne.
Swan has been carrying a quad injury and will join a few other Collingwood players on a recovery trip to Arizona. Luckily this will affect most Dreamteams but with the Pies set for a bye in Round 13 we will have to find a replacement for two weeks.
To add to the Collingwood woes, Dale Thomas ($423,100) will also miss this week due to suspension.
Many teams could have major trouble with St Kilda's Leigh Montagna ($404,000) also missing this week with a knee injury. The Saints link up player looked to hyper-extend his knee in the opening minutes last weeks clash against the Pies and only managed to 51 points for the match. It's unclear how many matches Montagna will miss but he is a potential upgrade target when he returns with his price set to plummet.
However, there is some good news for coaches with Buddy Franklin ($425,300) and Paul Chapman ($392,00) named in their respective sides. Debate still rages whether Franklin will get up for the game, after missing last week with a calf injury, but Chapman seems certain to face the Hawks on Saturday night.
Demon Colin Sylvia ($368,200) has also been named this week despite being subbed off earlier in last weeks win over Essendon. The 25 year old suffered a corked thigh and scored just 21 points before being replaced by rookie Daniel Nicholson ($104,400). Sylvia's already low price is set to drop even further, so will be a bargain for those who don't have him.
Some other handy returns are Lion Tom Rockliff ($395,400) from an achilles, young Bulldog Thomas Libertore ($259,600) from soreness and Bomber captain Jobe Watson ($421,100) who has finally recovered from his hamstring injury.
A number of other players are returning from long term injuries, including Docker Michael Barlow ($456,200) who suffered an horrific broken leg in his first season. Barlow was incredible Dreamteamer in his debut season averaging almost 110 points in his 13 games, but it will be interesting to see if he can hit that kind of form after along stint out of the game.
Kangaroo Ryan Bastinac ($272,000) will play his first game of the year after suffering a knee injury during the off-season. In his first season the youngster was reliable, playing all 22 games and averaging a respectable 66 points.
