It's always a crucial choice selecting your captain each week and last week was no exception with some popular captains having below par weeks while others chopped it up.

Those who selected Eagle Dean Cox ($424,900) would have been stoked as the ruckman carved up the AFL's newest team the Gold Coast scoring 145 points. Magpie Scott Pendlebury ($430,800) also came through with the goods, piling on 129 points in the Pies win over the Saints.

Other popular captain like Dane Swan ($397,700), who was under an injury cloud, Cat Joel Selwood ($357,400) and Dog Matthew Boyd ($435,700) had below par weeks for their standards, scoring 83, 92 and 94 respectively.
