Obviously we all know it is a 23 round season, with byes held over the R11-13 period (6 teams per week)
- Squads reduced back to 30 (from 33 in 2011)
- Number of trades to remain at 24 for the season
- Three trades can be made in a week during the bye period (R11-13). Remains at two per week for the rest of the season
- Leagues increase in size to 18 teams (from 16 in 2011)
- League matches will run from Round 3-19, finals from Round 20-23.
Then there are these changes regarding trading:
- Hitting the trade button is no longer final, with the ability to reverse trades up until lockout.
- Ability to trade out a player from one position to get in a player in a different position with DPP.
